Tundé Adefioye

Tundé Adefioye is a Nigerian-American based in Belgium. Tunde helped founding the youth poetry platform Urban Woorden now Trill, works as a dramaturg (*Malcolm X,* *(Not) My Paradise),* and assisted with the research for Sanja Mitrovic's *Demeter Calling* and MilØ Slayer's *Demonstratio*. Tunde teaches *Cultural Criticism* and *US Popular (Black) Visual Culture* at Sint Lucas Antwerpen (KdG) and contributed an epilogue chapter to the Routledge published S*taging Slavery: Performances of Colonial Slavery and Race from International Perspectives (2023)*. In 2020, Tunde co-started a collective centering racialized young folx "Towards Braver Spaces Antwerp". This space activates and facilitates different ways of gathering and collective care. Together with Imane Benyecif, they conducted a one-year research project "Towards Braver Spaces" (2023-2024) at Sint Lucas Antwerpen (KdG).
