Joud Toamah
Joud Toamah is a graphic designer and artist researcher from Syria currently based in Antwerp, Belgium. She finalized a one-year artistic research project "Courtyard of Memory" at Sint Lucas Antwerpen (KdG), centering water traditions along the Euphrates that were transgenerationally inherited to dream and imagine space and relations otherwise. Joud participated in residencies at Frans Masereel centrum, Futures Photography and Morpho. Her work has been presented at Photoforumpasquart, Fomu Museum of Photography, Beursschouwburg, Globe Aroma and Constant. She is a 2024-2025 participant of the Advanced Master of Research in Arts and Design program at Sint Lucas Antwerpen (KdG).
