Tom J.J. Viaene is a Belgian editor, lecturer, and programmer specialising in aesthetic and critical theory, with a focus on the philosophy of art and visual culture. He coordinates Trigger, a publication for reflection on photography, initiated by the museum of photography in Antwerp (FOMU). Based in Brussels, Viaene teaches at Sint Lucas Antwerpen School of Arts and serves as programme officer at its research department, Sint Lucas Antwerpen Research Group (SLARG). He is also editor of Grounds, the school’s research journal.
